Two Weeks from Today!!

Pin It We will be in Disney World, having dinner with Cinderella! I am beyond excited and so are the kids.

I am completed stressed that I am going to forget something or plan something wrong...so I hope that I will be able to truly relax and just enjoy the trip!

Of all things...I am worried about forgetting ponchos! lmbo Someone remind me to buy them, ok?

This is a busy week.

Thursday is of course, Thanksgiving! I love that holiday. However, this year, it is ALSO my 30th birthday! HOW in the heck did I get to be 30?

THEN, Friday is SHOPPING!!! Finally, family is coming to visit that afternoon. I am looking forward to that as well. :)

Rough Morning...

Pin It AAAAGHH!! That's me screaming after the rough morning I had with McKinley. That kid is relentless!! lol

So today I am vowing to get organized, because when I am stressed it only makes it harder to deal with him.

Then I listened to this song about 10 times to remind me that there WILL come a time when I will long for these years to be here again.

It's a beautiful life...

Pin It I am sure many of you have seen the Jon & Kate Plus 8 commercial with this song...I just love it! It's exactly how I have felt that last few days. I think that so many times we get caught up in feeling sad about what we don't have or wishing that things could be better in this way or that way.

But I really have a beautiful life!

I love my husband, I love my kids, I love my parents, I love my friends, I love my too small, busting at the seams house, and my old, paid-off car. (that Evie has affectionally named "Erbie". LOL)

McKinley has been home from school the last few days. Yesterday, we hung out with friends...and while it is crazy taking 5 small children out for lunch and moderating their playdate...It's a BEAUTIFUL LIFE!

Today, we went out for lunch to Cici's and to Target. Such simple things, but they were BEYOND happy! What more is there to love than pizza and a treat from the Target $1 section?? It's a BEAUTIFUL LIFE!

And then for Mommy, a quick trip to the spa for an eyebrow waxing (a year overdue!) and a stop at Starbucks for a Peppermint Mocha on the way home. It's a BEAUTIFUL LIFE!

Finally, we finished off the day by running errands with Daddy. Fed Ex, a stop to sweep out the car, and dinner at Steak N' Shake...complete with shakes for all! It's a BEAUTIFUL LIFE!

Turn around, it's right in front of you!!

Less than 3 days...

Pin It And my friend Cassi, of Sugar Britches Boutique, is flying in from Florida!! I can't wait to meet her!

Then on Wednesday night several of our friends are meeting us in Indianapolis to stay in a hotel for the evening. From there we drive down to Pigeon Forge to spend 3 nights in a cabin with 7 of our other friends from around the country. This is an annual trip that we started last year and I am so excited for a few days of girl chat, shopping, and eating out!

One last thing...4 weeks from tonight we will be in DisneyWorld!! The kids are really looking forward to our trip. I can't wait, but am feeling stressed about being able to get everything done. My mom and I have been working our fannies off trying to get all the outfits done, we will see if we can accomplish all the plans we have in mind!

I have also called on this verse during the past week! It just happened to be McKinley's bible verse for school.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

From the mouths of babes...

Pin It I admit it, I have election anxiety.

One candidate shares almost none of the same beliefs and values as me. I worry what will happen to this country if he is able to implement his proposed plans. What kind of America is going to be here for my children?

I have had a whole range of emotions today.

Then during a discussion with the kids today about the election McKinley proceeds to say, it's ok either way mommy...because God is the President.

God is the president.

What wisdom from a seven year old little boy. God IS the president of my life.

Don't forget to vote tomorrow and pick up your free Starbucks & Krispy Kreme when you are finished!

So there is the end of my rambling thoughts and the only post I will have about the election.
