My house is on the smallish side...so every piece serves a dual purpose, if possible. My friend posted a great blog that was about making your own furniture...on the blog were the plans for this kitchen island. Guess what? Todd made this for me!! With the stools under the island I have alot more space in the kitchen and I have much more prep space.

Wow-I love the island, too! We are also pretty crunched for space and every little nook and cranny counts.
I really like the way yours came out! I'm going to show Mr. H and see if he can do something like that. Between you and Stephanie, there are so many things around the home I'd love to do and now don't feel they are so out of the range of possibility.
