Pin It My house is on the smallish side...so every piece serves a dual purpose, if possible. My friend posted a great blog that was about making your own furniture...on the blog were the plans for this kitchen island. Guess what? Todd made this for me!! With the stools under the island I have alot more space in the kitchen and I have much more prep space.

He did a great job!! Total cost for the island? $115!

Tattered Tulips is "Off to Neverland" again! Inspired by our original smocked Peter Pan dress and shirt from 2008, we created this adorable design. The scene is one my favorites in the Disney movie Peter Pan...as all the characters are sprinkled with Pixie Dust and on their way to Neverland! Pin It Well, I forgot my camera yesterday! I am soooo sad!

However, I still wanted to blog about our day yesterday.

Thankfully, Todd has been blessed with alot of work this spring and has been away alot of Saturdays, working later in the on weekdays, etc...

So, we took yesterday as a family day for the whole day! We drove down to Nashville, IN and shopped a little, then had ice cream for a morning snack. We had planned on eating lunch in Nashville, but decided instead to get fried chicken dinners from the local grocery store and head into the state park. We ate lunch and could only hear a few birds chirping, it was so peaceful! The kids played on the park for a little while and then we all climbed the firetower that is in the state park.

The weather was gorgeous, it was a great day I hope to remember forever. :)

Feeling like a little music...

In all honesty, I am generally not a fan of music on blogs. When blogs have music come on that I was not expecting...it usually makes me jump! hee hee So who knows, I will probably take it off soon...but for today I feel like having a little music around.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter Sunday...I know my family did!

We started the day by hiding the kids baskets and letting them search for them...I know this is terrible, but they have known for a few years that I am the Easter Bunny. lol (however, they still fully believe in Santa...shhh...)

Then we had stuffed, baked french toast for breakfast! After that it was time to get ready and head to church. We had lunch at my Grandma's and came home for a quick egg hunt, before mommy and daddy fell into bed for a quick nap! I always forget how much work can go into Easter. lol The baking, the egg dying, the ironing, the hair curling, the pictures...
