New from Tattered Tulips Custom Designs is this "Not So Mean" Christmas design!

We used rare and out of print Suess fabrics in this set, along with a fun red/green stripe knit for the comfy ruffle pants. The set is topped off with a stocking shaped bag for her to hide all her goodies!

Sugar3 Holiday Parade Guest Launch

Well....school has officially started! Which is a good thing, because I am working hard to fill orders...but I had to take a small break from filling orders to join the Sugar3 Holiday Parade.

DillyDally was so honored to be invited to the parade, our float was Holiday Movie Madness.

We decided to bring back our amazing crocheted pumpkin sweater and this time we have an adorable matching Euro hoodie and skirt set listed to match! We also selected the Nutcracker as our holiday movie. For that set we used gorgeous euro and Japanese fabrics...along with the most adorable appliques!

Not So Scary...Halloween!

Pin It I love how these sets turned out...plus the kids and I had a blast taking the pictures!

These custom boutique outfits are what we plan to wear to the Disney "Not So Scary....Halloween" party and include TONS of applique! Among the characters are Mickey & Minnie ghosts, Mickey & Minnie dressed up as Candy corn...and more! My inspiration for the sets was an awesome Halloween fabric I found that features a scene of all your favorite characters trick or treating.

Lil' Ooga Booga Monsters

The minute I saw this Ooga Booga knit fabric I just knew I had to design a set from the adorable lil' monsters. When my friend Danielle told me that she has the same fabric, a collaboration was definitely in order!

This 4 piece set includes the shirt, crocheted hat, leg warmers (or leggings), and euro skirt. It is so custom boutique and yet very wearable! The warm colors in the stripe knit get me in the mood for fall!

Pin It So, I am way behind the times...I just watched Juno for the first time and I fell in love with this song.

I am determined that one day I will have time to make a montage of my kids and use this song! Although, knowing me they will probably be in college before I get the time.

Oh how I loved making these smocked Cinderella and Peter Pan sets for Evie to wear to Disney last year! Alas, she is growing. :( And I have decided to sell them so another little angel can enjoy them as much as we have!

Pin It I love how these came out and so did McKinley! lol He was so excited to see his custom boutique outfit coming together. He even helped me decide which sayings from Star Wars belonged on the set!

McKinley's set features an appliqued Storm Trooper, Darth Vader, and Obi Wan...including their light sabers!

Evie's set features an appliqued Princess Leia...of course! We had a blast doing her hair in Princess Leia buns for the photos.

They are going to love wearing these to Disney's Hollywood Studios!

When Disney announced free dining for 2009, I crunched the numbers...and begged my mom and dad to go with us. They said yes and we booked our trip!! You know what that means...time for Disney customs!

This year I decided that McKinley needed some customs for our special vacation.

Wow! Spring break...followed by another week with 3 days off school and filling orders kept me busy there for awhile!!

What has been going on with Tattered Tulips?

I am honored and excited to announce that our pumpkin crocheted sweater set from Fall 2008 won a Journal Modiste Modie Award!

Disney season is definitely upon the eBay custom boutique world....and booking our own surprise trip has inspired me to create some brother/sister clothing for my kids to wear while is Disney! Start watching for those listings next week! There will be Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse, Princess, Pirate, and Star Wars custom boutique listings for boy and girls...I am so excited about them!

Finally, we just listed a smocked sailor set for BijouCo's Red, White, & Blue launch. I really love how this one turned out! It's just perfect for July 4th, Memorial Day, and all other summer events, she will definitely turn heads in this set!

Pin It I was so excited to list this set, I am beyond ready for Spring!! The softer colors are a little bit of a change for Tattered Tulips, but I love them!

We added a knit hoodie shirt and leggings to the fancier pinafore dress for a fun contrast! Then we added lots of ruffles, hand applique, and crocheted flowers!

These darling jeans are just PERFECT for spring! I love the light and airy colors, along with the appliqued snail and frog! The patchwork ruffles and hand done details are the icing on the cake.

We will recreate these custom M2MG Flower Garden jeans in your choice of size from 12-8 and your choice of length...from capri to regular pant length. We paired them with the patchwork dress from baby girl, but they look equally as cute with any of the shirts from Gymboree's newest line.

BijouCo's next launch is March, 3rd and the theme is Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary...

I decided to offer some sets that I am going to call "Simplicity". These sets will be sweet, fun, and whimsical...yet comfortable and practical for everyday. They will also start at $.99 with no reserve!! So be watching all Spring for Tattered Tulips Custom "Simplicity" designs.

I made the cutest little pizza's for the kids Valentine's day dinner. They loved them!! I took an english muffin, added a little spaghetti sauce, some mozzarella cheese, and topped them with heart shaped pepperoni's. Then I baked them at 350 degrees until the cheese was golden and bubbly...DELISH!

We are in the process of redecorating our living room and kitchen, they are connected. So far, it is not going so well!! I used to be confident in my decorating choices, but this time around I keep second guessing myself. My dear sweet, hubby repainted. Which sounds simple enough, however our living room, kitchen, hallway, and entryway are all connected with valuted ceilings, it is a big job to paint!! And I am ashamed to say, I don't like the color...so we may be repainting. OOPSIE! I do love the new laminate hardwood floors he installed yesterday! So, stay posted for pictures. :)

Gorgeous Weather...

Pin It We have been spoiled the last few days with unseasonably warm weather! I hate for it to end, but I know it will! Hopefully, we only have 6-8 more weeks of winter...

This is the time of year where everyone is really starting to lose it from cabin fever! lol The kids have watched ten thousand episodes of Spongebob, trashed the playroom 62 times each day, and gotten into countless arguments. (roll eyes) SPRING HURRY!!

It looks like things are looking positive in the fight against the CPSIA law...so Tattered Tulips Custom Boutique Designs is again dreaming of new designs for spring!!

Here is a darling picture from our first spring set, I just love that girl! Notice the ponytail rings?!

Currently this topic is number 8, if it receives enough votes this could be one of the issues that they lobby Congress about.

This is real and is happening. Tattered Tulips will no longer be able to sell our beautiful designs because of this law. A law that was poorly thought out, a law that will have widespread impact on our already hurting economy. Not only will we have to stop selling, many other small businesses will not be able to afford the costly and unneccesary testing. They will be forced to close shop. What about consignment shops who are now going to be full of "hazardous material"? What about the employees of those shops?

Where is the common sense??
