Make A Wish...

Pin It Tattered Tulips was recently asked to guest launch with Vendemia. The theme is "Once Upon a Time" and it just happened that we were already in the process is working on a Fairy Princess design titled, "Make a Wish".

The set is a 3 piece outfit, that will transition perfectly from Summer to Fall. There are tons of girly details and colors! We finished off the euro jumper dress with euro ruffles, ric rac, and an adorable fairy princess applique on the pocket.

Chasing Butterflies...

Yesterday, my aunt and I took our 4 kids to Conner Prairie. Conner Prairie is a wonderful place, that showcases the history of Indiana. The idealic setting is complete with old homes, animals, rustic fences, and lush fields.

It is also the perfect place to chase butterflies.

So, as I sat there on the porch of an almost 200 year old home, and watched the 2 girls laughing as they ran around chasing the butterflies...I just knew it was one of those moments in life that you never want to forget. There is just nothing like the giggles of pure joy from little children!

On July 17th, BijouCo will be having a launch called School Pictures. EACH and every listing will include an artist rendering of your child in their custom creation, a $30 retail value! It is a such a special and unique way to remember their childhood. It's a school picture, with a twist!

My set is called Friends Around the World, and features smocking of seven friends on the bodice. The appliqued jeans are adorable when worn with the dress or by themselves! The set reminds me of the beginning of the school year...a time for making new friends and reconnecting with old friends.


Just today, I received an email from the artist...I can't show you that just yet, but you won't want to miss this launch!!

Blogging Kids

Pin It Sorry it has been a whole week since I last blogged. Wow, time flies when the kids are at home all day!

We have been having a nice summer...and I admit that McKinley and I have been playing alot of Mario Kart Wii! LOL

An online friend of mine, Heather, had the idea to let our kids start their own blogs. I love the idea!! McKinley has been having a great time posting to his blog...and he has no idea that he is keeping his spelling, reading, and writing skills sharp at the same time.

Apparently, I have had a request for pictures of both kids! LOL I always feel bad because McKinley does not have his picture taken nearly as much as Evie. He is such a great model too! Too bad there is not much demand for custom boutique designs in boys size 7/8.

Today was McKinley's first official day of summer vacation. We hit Walmart for a sprinkler and crafts! The sprinkler did not entertain them as long as I had hoped, do they ever? However, the puppet craft kit was well worth the $4.72! They both spent well over an hour making their puppets this afternoon and we have a puppet show scheduled for 9 A.M. tomorrow. Can't wait!
