This week is officially my last week at home alone with Evie. Friday starts summer vacation with McKinley and then in August she will be off to full time Kindy.
To be honest, I hadn't thought about it much.
But then, a few weeks ago, it hit me how much I would miss her. She is good company.
I will miss going to McDonalds with her after preschool. I will miss her "designing" outfits while I am working. I will miss her watching cartoons and playing Webkinz on the computer. Is it ok to watch Spongebob when there are no kids around? lol
On Tuesday, Evie played hooky from school and I played hooky from sewing orders. We went downtown...ate, shopped, browsed the bookstore, went to Target, painted our nails..and just were together.
I have this song on a cd and when I heard it I started to cry...sweet Evie started crying too. I am sure she had no idea why, but I dunno...I think she does get it a little and is going to miss me too.

Here the thoughts are about how Kelley is finishing up elementary school in the next week and a half. I remember her first day of Kindergarten like it was just yesterday.
Enjoy your summer with your sweet girl (and boy!) and maybe plan some "playing hooky" days once in a while for fun. =)
I love my daughter, too, wish I could back to the day when you were 5 sometimes, Mom.
